Oral Hygiene Education

Each staff member at Westdale Dental Care is passionate about what they do and love to share this passion with others. This passion is carried out not only in the dental office but also outside of it.


Our staff would love to partner with you in spreading an awareness of the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene. Oral hygiene education can be scheduled in many different settings including, but not limited to, elementary school classrooms and community support centres.


Of course, you are always welcome to schedule a visit with one of the hygienists for one-on-one special concerns or education!

Meet the team

About the Dentist

Dr Showkat Ali completed his initial training in dentistry from India where he gained much experience working in a hospital based practice. This is where he finished his rotations in oral surgery and general dentistry. Altogether, he practiced dentistry in the Middle East for ten years before coming to Canada in 2009. Dr Ali completed his DDS at the University of Toronto in 2012, and has now been practicing dentistry for over 10 years in the GTA, Simcoe and Hamilton. He has special expertise in doing the dental surgeries and implants and is highly skilled in the aesthetic dentistry. He completed an advanced implant therapy course in 2014 at Loma Linda University California besides attending some other certificate courses to enhance his aesthetic dentistry skills.


Dr. Ali strongly believes in upholding the highest ethical and moral standards when he works on his patients and treats them like family. He is passionate about dentistry and his goal is to put beautiful smiles on the patients face and Dr. Ali looks forward to meeting you at Westdale Dental Care.
